I had the honour to train thousands of people in design, web, e-commerce at the Grow with Google series, for 7 times over the course of 2 years

Digital improvement rarely fails because businesses lack access to technology.
More often, it fails because technology has made everything feel more complicated than it needs to be.
That was the idea I brought to seven training sessions I delivered in Estonia as part of the Grow with Google initiative.
I’m Lauri Post, founder of Xfiner, my digital studio. Through Xfiner, I work with businesses on UX/UI design, eCommerce, Webflow, digital strategy, operational interfaces, and automation. The training gave me an opportunity to share the practical lessons I have learned from working on those problems firsthand.
My goal was not to add more jargon or introduce another complicated framework.
It was to help businesses see their digital challenges more clearly and understand what they could improve next.
Making digital improvement practical
Across the sessions, we looked at problems businesses encounter every day:
- Websites that confuse visitors
- Unclear communication
- Friction in the customer journey
- Weak usability
- Poor conversion paths
- Digital experiences that quietly reduce trust and sales
Rather than focusing on trends or abstract theory, I focused on changes businesses could apply to their own websites and online operations.
Because most businesses already have enough complexity.
What they often need is a clearer way to think about the problems in front of them.
Lessons from real projects
The seven sessions took place both live and online. Throughout them, I shared practical observations from years of work in UX/UI design, eCommerce, digital strategy, and operational systems.
We explored:
- Website usability
- Customer journey thinking
- Conversion-focused design
- Clear communication
- Structure and navigation
- Digital friction points
- Everyday eCommerce improvements
I wanted participants to leave with more than a collection of ideas. I wanted them to look at their own digital experiences differently.
Where are customers getting confused?
What is slowing them down?
Which parts of the experience are quietly weakening trust?
Those questions are often more useful than asking which new technology a business should adopt.
Why the collaboration mattered
One training session can happen for many reasons.
Seven sessions usually point to something deeper: trust, reliability, positive feedback, and consistent value for participants.
For me, the collaboration with Grow with Google reflected the kind of work I value through Xfiner. I care about making digital systems easier to understand and online experiences easier to use.
That does not always mean adding more features or adopting more tools.
Often, it means removing the friction that should never have been there in the first place.
Supporting digital growth in Estonia
In Estonia, the Grow with Google initiative was supported together with organisations including:
- The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications
- EAS
- County development centres
The wider goal was to help businesses strengthen their digital skills through practical education and accessible expert guidance.
The sessions supported that goal by focusing on everyday execution. Businesses did not need more innovation language. They needed useful ways to identify problems, make better decisions, and improve their digital presence step by step.
The same philosophy still guides me and Xfiner
The thinking behind those sessions continues to shape my work today.
Whether I am working on a website, an eCommerce experience, an operational interface, or an AI-enhanced internal tool, I keep coming back to the same principle:
Good digital experiences feel simple because someone took the time to think carefully about the friction others had learned to ignore.
That is what I try to do through Xfiner: make digital systems clearer, make online experiences easier to use, and help businesses improve without adding another layer of unnecessary complexity.
