I created new Brand Standards for Cayman Marshall and redesigned its luxury real estate platform across desktop and mobile, bringing the brand and digital experience into one premium system.

Luxury is not created by adding more. It is created by knowing what deserves attention.
That was the starting point for my work with Cayman Marshall, one of Canada’s largest luxury real estate firms, with more than 3 billion in property sold. They asked me to bring greater clarity, consistency, and distinction to both their brand and their digital real estate experience.
The project began with a brand guidelines document. But as the work evolved, it became something more deliberate: a new set of Brand Standards for a company operating at the highest end of the market.
From guidelines to brand standards
I believe great brands need standards. Not rules for the sake of rules, but a clear point of view that helps every expression of the brand feel intentional.
For Cayman Marshall, I developed an extensive Brand Standards document that brought the brand’s thinking, language, and visual expression into one coherent system.
It covered everything from messaging style and visual language to typography, colour, composition, and the way the identity should be applied across different mediums.
The existing elements were streamlined, refined, retouched, and brought together with more discipline. The result was a brand system that felt more considered, more flexible, and more aligned with the quality of the properties Cayman Marshall represents.
The goal was never to make the brand louder. It was to make it unmistakable.
Designing for the luxury market
Luxury brands have a narrow path to walk. They need to feel unique and contemporary without becoming disposable. They need to feel polished without becoming cold. Most importantly, they need to create confidence before a conversation ever begins.
That meant thinking carefully about what prospective clients want to see, what information they need, and how the experience should make them feel as they move between a property, a neighbourhood, and the Cayman Marshall brand itself.
Every decision had to support a sense of trust, discretion, and effortless quality.
A platform for exceptional properties
Once the brand foundation was in place, I redesigned Cayman Marshall’s luxury real estate platform for desktop and mobile devices.
The platform needed to do more than list properties. It needed to present each home with the space, context, and attention it deserved while making the overall experience feel seamless.
Together with the Cayman Marshall team, I designed a broad range of views for the company, its services, and its luxury listings. We explored how people discover properties, what they want to understand before making contact, and how the interface can guide them without competing with the homes themselves.
The team brought valuable insight into how they envisioned the real estate experience. I helped structure that thinking and translate it into a coherent visual and digital system.
A considered experience across every screen
The work included the key pages and states needed to make the platform feel complete: property discovery, listing overviews, detailed property views, company information, and the many supporting moments that turn browsing into genuine interest.
On mobile, the experience had to remain elegant and easy to navigate within a much smaller space. On desktop, it needed to give the imagery, details, and story of each property room to breathe.
The interface was designed to feel quiet when it needed to be quiet, expressive when the property called for it, and consistent throughout.
I also enhanced selected parts of the experience with AI-generated video content. Used with restraint, the motion added atmosphere and depth without distracting from the architecture, photography, or the client’s decision-making journey.
A remote collaboration with close attention
The work was completed across distance: the Cayman Marshall team was in Canada, while I was working between Estonia and Spain.
Several video calls became working sessions where we reviewed ideas, challenged assumptions, and refined the details together. The distance was never a substitute for collaboration. If anything, it made clear communication and thoughtful presentation even more important.
Their team contributed strong knowledge of the market, their clients, and the way they wanted to represent their properties. I brought the structure, design direction, and visual craft needed to turn that knowledge into a premium digital experience.
The best parts of the project came from that exchange.
Timeless, modern, and unmistakably Cayman Marshall
The final direction was designed to last. It feels modern enough to be relevant now, but restrained enough to remain convincing as trends move on.
That balance is especially important in luxury real estate. A platform should feel distinctive, but never cheap. Sophisticated, but never overworked. Seamless, but never invisible.
For me, the measure of success was whether the experience could make an exceptional property feel even more considered, while allowing Cayman Marshall’s own standards to come through at every touchpoint.
From design system to live platform
Cayman Marshall was happy with the outcome and began developing the platform with their own team. The website is now live, carrying the new brand standards into a real-world experience for clients, properties, and the people representing them.
This project was a reminder that premium design is rarely about a single visual gesture. It is built through hundreds of considered decisions: the words, the spacing, the typography, the pace, the hierarchy, the image, and the moment when someone decides to take the next step.
When all of those decisions work together, the experience feels effortless. That is the standard I wanted to create with Cayman Marshall.
